Setting Up E-mail in Outlook Express
Follow these simple steps to set up your e-mail in Outlook Express.
  1. Open your Outlook Express, either by clicking the Outlook Express icon on your desktop or selecting "Read Mail" from the Mail menu in Internet Explorer.
  2. In Outlook Express, select "Accounts..." from the Tools menu.
  3. On the pop up menu, select the "Mail" tab.

  4. Click the "Add..." button and select "Mail..." This will bring up the Accounts Wizard.

  5. Fill in your name as you would like it to appear in the "From" notation on e-mails you send. Click Next.

  6. Make certain that "I already have an e-mail address I'd like to use" is selected. Enter your e-mail address. Click Next.

  7. You must now let the wizard know what servers to access when receiving and sending your mail. Fill in the spaces as shown with the following information:

    Server Type: POP3 Server
Use the following server names based on your domain name.
    Incoming Server Name:

    mail.yourdomain.com

Outgoing Server Name: (same as incoming)

    mail.yourdomain.com

    Click Next.

  8. This screen will set up your login information. In the Account Name box fill in your user name, and below it, your password. This will save your login and password in your Outlook Express so that you will not have to log into your mailbox each time.

  9. Clicking Finish will take you back to the Accounts setup screen.
  10. NOTE: If you do not use Lonetree as your Internet provider you must do this following step. Click the Account you just created and choose the Properties button. Choose the Servers tab at the top of the new window that popped up. At the bottom of this window check the box that says "My server requires authentication." (If you do not choose this box you will not be able to send mail using our mail servers.)
  11. Click the apply button.

You can now select Close to close the window.

You can now check your e-mail by selecting "Read Mail" from your Mail menu in Internet Explorer.
