How to set Internet Explorer 5 and 6 into Active mode.

1. In Internet Explorer choose the Tools menu. Click on Internet Options.
   
2. On the window that comes up choose the Advanced tab. Scroll down to the check box that reads "Use Passive FTP (for firewall and DSL modem compatibility)"
   
3. Make certian that that box is NOT checked. Choose the OK button.
