Forwarding
E-mail to another Account
To forward email
from your account to another account:
- You need
to log into your web-based email i.e. (http://mail.yourdomain.com:8383).
- After logging
into your account you will see a link that says, "Change
Mail Forwarding Information."
That page will have a input field that should be blank (unless
forwarding has been setup already.) This is where you need
to enter in the new email address that the e-mails will be forward
to.
Note: You
can forward to more then one account by separating them by a comma
(,) i.e. joe@mydomain.com,bob@mydomain.com.
- Normally
the server will not save a copy of the message on the server once
it is forward.
- To tell the
server to save a copy add a period (.) and a comma (,) to the
list of forwarding address i.e. .,,joe@mydomain.com,bob@mydomain.com.
After you click the Save button you will get a message "forward.ima
file updated and it is now forwarding."
