the total number of visits during the specified report period broken
down by the type of web browser used. Browsers listed as "Unknown" are
often search engine crawlers and web proxies that are updating their
content. The Top Browsers by Tag report provides details on these browsers.
By reporting which browsers your visitors are using,
the Browser Types report can help you decide what features you can safely
include in your web site. If, for example, a sizable number of your
visitors use a browser that does not support a feature, you can ensure
that potential customers can view your site by avoiding this feature.
Note: Browser types are
counted once per visit.
