The By Continent report shows
the number of visits during the specified report period broken down
by continent. Six continents are shown. Central America is included
in North America. Antarctica will not show web traffic.
The By Continent report lets you see where your visitors
come from. This report can help you determine whether there is enough
business in a certain country or region to justify opening a regional
office. You may also use this report to determine if there is enough
interest to justify launching a foreign language version of your site.
If a continent suddenly jumps to the top of the list,
it is a good idea to look at the appropriate By Country report. An increase
in traffic from this country may indicate that a marketing effort is
generating interest, or that someone is attempting to attack your server.
Note: LiveStats displays
continents with visits in green: the brighter the green, the more
visits. Continents without visits are displayed in gray.
Note: To display the
number of visits from a continent and the percentage of the total, click
a continent from the map.
