Site by Hits

The Site by Hits report shows the number of hits made during the specified report period on each branch of your Web site.

This report lets you compare the number of hits for different products or topics on your site.

Note: A "hit" is a request to your web server for a file such as a web page, bitmap, CGI, or header request. If a visitor requests a page containing two images, the web server logs three hits: one hit for the page, and two for the image files.

Note: Since a "refresh" or "reload" results in a request to your web server, LiveStats counts it as another hit.

Note: Hits do not provide an accurate estimate of page views or visitors. One visitor may request many pages and each page request may result in a number of hits.
