Time Spent per Page

The Time Spent per Page report shows the average length of time visitors spent viewing a page during the specified report period. Time spent per page equals the period of time from one page request to the next.

The Time Spent per Page report helps you evaluate the level of interest for individual web pages. It can also provide insight into your customers' behavior. For example, if the total and average time spent is low for technical and detailed pages, it may indicate that the material is too complex, too technical or not relevant enough to most visitors.

On the other hand, a long time spent viewing pages may indicate that the pages are serving the needs of your customers.

Note: LiveStats cannot calculate the time spent viewing the last page of a visit because the visitor might view the page for any length of time. For this reason, LiveStats does not include the last page of a visit in this report.
