The Top Browsers by Tag
report shows visits for the specified report period broken down by browser
tag. Browser tags include information about specific browser versions
and end user operating systems.
The Browser by Tag report can help you decide what features
to include in your web site. If, for example, a sizable number of your
visitors use a browser that does not support an HTML feature, you may
decide not to use this feature.
Browser tags can also help administrators know exactly
what browser was used to connect to the web site.
Note: Browser tags are counted
once per visit.
Note: Most browsers
use the "Mozilla" tag. "Mozilla" was the original code name for the
Netscape Navigator® Browser project. Later browsers—such
as Microsoft® Internet Explorer—
often use the Mozilla tag to indicate that they have the same feature
set as Navigator. In most cases, the author name and operating
system is included after the Mozilla tag.
