The Pages Viewed Once report
shows which pages were the most commonly requested page during visits
of just one page view.
The Pages Viewed Once report can help you evaluate the
effectiveness of your main entry pages such as the default page, home
pages, main menus and popular gateways. For example, if a large number
of customers leave after viewing your site's home page, you may need
to update the page's content or provide better links to other parts
of your site. You may also consider whether links to other web sites
are directing potential customers away from your site.
If people are accessing and leaving your site through
a page other than an expected entry point, it may be that an external
link from a Web site or search engine is pointing to that page. This
can be a problem for frame-enabled web sites when referrers point to
a frame that does not have navigation links.
On the other hand, if your web site offers white papers,
definitions, or glossaries, you can expect to see people who are referred
to a page end their session on that page.
